This is a very nice looking model! Can you say something about the colors you have used?

Indeed a nice model Robert, simple and easy to build too. hobbyboss color callout is TOTALLY off, don't use gunze midnight blue as it has nothing to do with the navy blue of that era. gunze is more of a very dark greenish blue.
What you see here is unorthodox by all means, it's winsor and newton cobalt blue artists oil paint (yes!) thinned with odorless turpentine and applied via airbrush on top of a mat coat. reason for the mat coat was to ensure adhesion of the oil paint since it doesn't have any sticking properties in the thinned form, at least nothing close to any of the modelling paints we are using. followed by pronto wooden floor wax (= of Future in turkey) and decals.
enjoy.

@Pierre-Christian thank you
@Antonio thank you too. i think this one's going to look even better in 1/48 for it's relatively small as jets go.

Clean and sharp paint work. I much like the subtle bright effect along the panel lines 👍

Oil paint and Airbrush? This offers a whole new dimension for painting! Never thought of this. Thank you. Maybe I'll have a try on this. Your are right with the colors. I used gunze Intermediate Blue and Navy Blue on my Avenger. I'm not satisfied with this choice.

Weathering began, first a lot of panel highlighting with pretty much tinted thinner with tamiya sky blue, then oil dot filtering.
I'll continue with some chipping and paint the leading edges in metallic.
