Thank you Bernd for this nice and detailed review. There are a lot of fine and sharp details coming along with the parts. Seems to me there is no flush and sink marks and only a few injectors pin marks. All in all a good casting! I was impressed by all the fine details at the ship boats, struts at the stack, searchlights etc. Also good to see they did a plating structure at the hull. Even it is a little overdone it is better to have one instead of none.
What a pity it is the wrong scale, but many thx for sharing!

Album info

Here is the all-new HMS Hermes 1942 from FlyHawk in 1:700. The details are outstanding. You can buid it full hull or waterline. The box includes etched parts, wood parts for the dinghys, decals and 8 Swordfish palanes. If they are not enough, you can add more by using the previous shown set "WW2 Royal Navy Aircraft I".

The tip of the bow was broken off from my kit part (and disapeard). And the flight deck looks for me a little corrugated. This may caused by the very thin material of the flight deck. I guess when the part is glued it will be streight and stabile.

On the manual is an qr-code printed, which brings to FlyHawk's website with additional hepl for the build-up of the hull. The drawings in the manual are a bit to small for this.

See my pic's .... and get this kit! I guess FlyHawk will also issue an earlier version of the Hermes.
