Hi Maciej. It has been a while. No I came back to this project and will be finished soon 🙂 No I see how difficult yours was. Masking all this stripes is driving me mad.

Here is a tip that might help, which I didn't think of when I was building mine: get a clear decal film and paint it red. Then cut thin lines of the appropriate width. Voila, red stripes! I used this tip only when I had some stripes peel off after masking and painting the whole thing. At least in 1/48 it will be a bit easier.
Nice clean white paintjob! Waiting for the red.
How about the decals, what do you have in mind?

Maciej I have bought 0.7mm tape for stripes. And logos as decals were printed by my friend. On this picture this white is a little bit too gray. Yesterday I've covered it with Tamiya TS-26 and it is much better now.

Masking stripes with 0.7mm micron tape. After 2h of work almost no progress...

Yes it may seem like no progress. But with patience you will get there. And the end result will be rewarding. It took me a long time to mask it, maybe longer than building it, but I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Hang in there mate!

I've used almost whole Aizu Micron tape roll but luckily it's close to the end of masking.

Respect! You did it all by hand, without any templates. Well done Adam!

lots of patience for the masking. but the results will pay off for sure!. never used this Aizu Micron tape, is it good?

Thanks @Spanjaard. It's less sticky thank Tamiya tape. After some time (masking took me several weeks) it tends to unstick at curves itself. It will require to press it down just before painting and pray that no paint will go under it😉 But I couldn't find any other tape of this width (0.7mm) and cutting wider tape myself wasn't an option, because I've used about 4m of it.

Btw I've just finished masking stabilizers that was last outstanding area. If I have time, I'll fill areas with maskol and paint it red today.

This is how it looks after painting. Few spots needs correction. Nose caused most problems.

Model will be on simple display stand. That's why I decided to solder simple ladder from brass wire.

nice work, not alone with the paintjob... that ladder my seem simple, but I bet it wasn't that easy to solder
