Will start this one, as soon the Eduard sets and the cockpit color - the HB instruction is here way off - are here.
28 August 2017, 05:50

The cockpit color arrived today - the HB instructions are way off regarding the colors - so I will start to spray the cockpit tomorrow 🙂
1 September 2017, 16:28

Cockpit is now done - besides two plastic parts and the seat.
Almost the whole cockpit is from pe parts - only the floor and the back are the "old" plastic parts.

Welcome mates😉
I hope to prime the kit till sunday.
So far its a reall nice kit and didnt needed so much filler so far. I hope it will stat at way even with the wings.
6 October 2017, 14:20

Nice looking work so far, Sören. I like the jig you are using!
21 October 2017, 14:31

I gotta follow this! Great work so far Soren. We are in for another NMF treat, I'm sure!
21 October 2017, 15:48

Thx
@Gordon
Yeah and also really helpful.
@Michael
Lets hope the NMF will turn out any good because it's my first try.
21 October 2017, 16:29

Sören, that looks absolutely well! Hope I did not read it over: which color for the NMF are going to use?
21 October 2017, 16:39

Thanks a lot Roland 😉 I will go for the Xtreme Metal colors from AK which I already used for the engine on this one.
As the main color I will use Aluminum and then some other colors for different panels.
In most of the pictures Ive found, she always looks liks a metal patchwork plane.

Thx Martin and Peter.
Some spots still need some love, but nothing to serious before the first layer of primer.
1 April 2018, 15:13

Black base is now done.
The next step will be the first layer of Xtreme Metal Alu and after that I will paint some panels differently
24 June 2018, 18:29

First parts are now painted in alu.
You still see some flaws, but Im happy with after all. 🙂
24 June 2018, 19:31

Looks really nice, Sören! 👍 I'll be following. I love the Tunnan! 🙂
25 June 2018, 18:23

Thx a lot Björn.
The Tunnan is indeed a really great plane, even if its ugly as hell 😛
The first layer of paint is now on the full kit and it sadly hase some flaws.
My next step will now to polish the shit out of it 😄 with 800, 2000 and 6000 polish cloth and after that another layer of alu. 🙂
25 June 2018, 18:35

No, It's beautiful! ;P But perhaps I am a little partial as I grew up watching them fly at F13 Malmen as a kid..
25 June 2018, 18:52

Hehe kind of.
But I must say that the biggest part of a NMF plane is really the preparation for the color.
7 July 2018, 09:33

Done: build and paint.
To do: decals, panel lines, weathering, dio.
You're almost at 1/3!
Just kidding. Take your time and show us another masterpiece 👍
7 July 2018, 10:48

Thx Martin and will do.
Sadly the nose doesnt want as I do.... There is still a small gap.
But Im certain that I will win this fight 😄
8 July 2018, 07:19

Do you want to trade? I have a Supermarine Stranrear that doesn't want to be a double decker.
8 July 2018, 09:37

Very nice work so far Sören - have the same kit in my stash and I will watch with interest!
8 July 2018, 09:46

Thx a lot mates😉
Sadly there were some minor errors which I have to fix, but nothing serious
8 July 2018, 15:33

The paint job is almost done.
Still two/three panels need a different shade of alu and a few minor errors need some fixing, but that's it😉
16 July 2018, 07:10

Thx and the paint work is now finished.
The nose still needs some fixing but thats all
16 July 2018, 11:07

That looks good! Do you mind if I spy with my little eye for my upcoming Tunnan build?
16 July 2018, 20:01

Hehe😉
Today I fixed two minor errors in the paintwork and now she is finally ready for the first clear coat - sadly its to hot right now to use the airbrush...
I also sprayed all small parts in aluminium and the next step are now the wheels, which still need some attention (filler and sanding)
17 July 2018, 11:00

Decal time😉
Sadly is destroyed of the Austrian roundels from the body.
Do maybe someone have this kit and dont need the Austrian roundels?
20 August 2018, 21:13

Luckily the Austrian markings aren't that intricate. Would it work to mask a circle, paint it red, mask a triangle and paint that white?
21 August 2018, 00:05

I think it will be hard to match the other decals then....
Im in contact with the Trumpeter/Hobby Boss support, maybe they can help out here. 🙂
21 August 2018, 04:58

This is really looking sweet Sören! The yellow, white, and red against that smooth NMF really pops and makes for a very eye pleasing.
21 August 2018, 19:39

Thx a lot mates. 🙂
@ Michael
Yeah, that was one of the reasons, why Ive decided to build the Austrian version. 🙂
22 August 2018, 04:33

Wow!! Missed that one... Well done Sören... Very Good Metal finish.... Congrats
15 September 2018, 13:04

Thank you.
The next layer of clear is now on it.
After a drying time of 24 hours, I will start with the wash.
15 September 2018, 20:56

Thx Miro 🙂 I really hope to finish her in the next two weeks
16 September 2018, 19:11

I was finally able to wash the upper wings.
Sure I know it's a really subtle, but I think it fits the Tunnan really good.
Ok and I probably put to much clear on it😉
17 September 2018, 20:07

Wash is now finished and I should finish this one in the next couple of days😉
18 September 2018, 21:40

You really should do so Sören 🙂 Although i like the look of it already
18 September 2018, 21:44

Wird echt toll. Vor allem die verschiedenen Metall-Töne wirken sehr gut!
5 November 2018, 20:26

Thanks Clifford & Thomas.
I finally received the spare wheels yesterday, which means that I can hopefully finish this project very very soon. 🙂
6 November 2018, 05:43

Was finally able to almost finish the Tunnan.
Only the front gear is missing which will be attached by tomorrow
27 December 2018, 19:27

That really is such an eye catcher Sören, man... such a beautiful build!
27 December 2018, 19:58

Thank you very much. 🙂
I'm indeed not 100% happy with it, because I know the flaws, but this build helped a lot to understand a NMF on a Jet.😉
28 December 2018, 05:11

Thank you 😉

😢 Thanks Kerry probably not as good as your NMF F-100, but still happy with my first NMF attempt after all
9 January 2019, 10:31

Well. You have shown your talented in all things you do. And being your 'first', I bet your keen to do more. hehehehe 🙂
