Airfix kit has much more cockpit detail.
The total number of pieces of Airfix kit is way higher than tamiyas, so we can expect more detail.
On the other hand, surface detail of Tamiya looks sharper.

Tamiya one is very nice and sharp. And with an Aires cockpit set... it ends as a excellent model. of course, Aires requires plenty of sanding.

Landing gear bay of Tamiya kit would also need some resin replacement...

maybe, but you can also add some cabling etc, and it is a lot less visible than the cockpit😉

Quite some differences in the cockpit set up. Are both birds of the same type, time frame and modification standard? Otherwise this would be hard to judge te more detailed and more authentic one.

Yes I agree. I don't know which one is closest to reality.
With my little knowledge I can only compare about fitting and level of detail...

i like tamiya, but if you get same result in airfix alone than tamiya with Eduard.... i may go for airfix next time!
