Assembly process

As the photos show, I replaced the seats with two seats of resin due to the poor and wrong that were included in the box. 

 

The landing gear wells were detailed by adding thin strips of plasticard in the internal walls. 

To check the fit of the pieces, I'm temporarily joining them with Maskol. 

This modification is important to do since the Amodel box that I worked on is the first configuration that this demonstrator had. Instead I chose the configuration later and that included the addition of extensions in the leading edge of the wings. 

I recorded new lines in low relief using a needle. I was guided with the plans published on airwar.ru 

Amodel did not consider any part that represented the interior of the nozzles. Therefore I used a piece of plastic sheet and an aluminum sheet and both installed them inside the nozzles. 

Correction of the rope of the horizontal stabilizers. When comparing with photos and plans, the error of the pieces counted in the box is evident. To correct the error I cut and added plasticard in the pieces nº 28 and 29. 

When assembling the fuselage, it is visible the union of both halves of the fuselage just inside the nozzles. Amodel did not consider any part that represented the inner tube of the nozzle. Therefore I used a piece of plastic sheet and an aluminum sheet a 

Ready to start with the painting process. 

Zoom into the cabin. It is already painted, including the seats of resin K-36 and as seen in the image I decided to cut the transparent cover to have the option to leave it in open position. 

The improvement is evident. 

When I applied the first color of the camouflage (sand) the tone was too light, so I had to add red and blue to the original color. All colors are prepared by mixing automotive acrylic lacquers diluted with acrylic thinner (very toxic but with unbeatable  

The visible brightness is explained because I applied transparent glass lacquer in order to avoid the transparent support of the decals that is sometimes rather opaque. Once finished the model will have a semi matt finish. 

Model finished! It took a long time (11 months) but it was worth all the corrections and modifications. As I said at first this model is of the type short run and with certain difficulties but with proportions and general lines quite close to the real pla
