Thanks, guys. You will be witnessing the build of a Tamiya Famo totally bashed up with the Panzer Concepts resin crane kit. Then it will be featuring in a daring diorama posture lifting up an overturned Büssing NAG truck. Stay tuned!

Thanks for your attenton! I started to build the outriggers, made with square ABS tube and printed parts. I did discover a discrepancy in the proposed width of the tube, it seems to have been adapted so both outriggers can be at the same width. This was not the case. I will also replace the C-beams for the counterweights with Evergreen, because they are not completely cast off and obviously made out of Evergreen masters.

I understand it is a daunting kit. I hope I get it right... Yesterday I was on a running Famo at Militracks, so I took some reference pics of the cab inside also.

For a walkaround on this great event, check out my topic at modelbrouwers.nl/php..php?f=23&t=52046 (Dutch language). I bought the AFV M35A1 for 40 euros with 5 Hobbyfan figures in it, and I bought this Panzer 1 tracklink. [img1]

Haha I was at militracks saturday drooling over that sd.kfz. 11 late with holzfahrerhouse and the maultiers, don't know why but something in that sd.kfz. 11 thing just grabs me. Especially the sound of its ratteling track's (they should make meditational music out of that). I pray they will some day restore the sd.kfz. 9/2 from the Becker collection and take it to militracks, that would be some sight to see it driving through the Overloon woods.
I also checked the tracks for sale but spend my money on an ADV kit and a book about K5(e), but above all the weight of the thing and explaining yet another "dirty rusty thing" I'n the house kept me from it. But as I see yours I already regret it, another reason to go next year.

Thanks for the nice comments. I bent some replacement Evergreen profiles and added the mudguards. It's not so clear how to cut these from the sprue.
