Apollo Saturn V

 

Rinsed with mild soap solution. 

Glued F-1 engines and first and second stage. 

First color coating for engines. 

The inside color of the actual engines is not red but it is the color of the protective cover during transport to the launch platform. 

Liquid filler to sand the seems afterwards. 

I filled the three tiny holes because I wasn't going to put the little human figures on the platform. 

Primer for the lauch platform. 

Masking the service module for spraying the white parts. 

I cut off the pins on the command module because otherwise it did not fit well on the service module. 

Every stage has markings to put the parts together in the right way. 

Glueing the SLA adapter panels. 

Ready for the spray booth !

Remark on the Revell paint scheme : on the real Saturn V there is no black ring connecting the top of the black parts above the engines (first stage). So I did not follow the Revell instruction on this point.

Remark on the Revell decal scheme : the real Saturn V has no USA lettering on the third stage. So I skipped this.
