Greetings to all dear colleagues. So I finished my Il-14 in the 72nd from Amodel. I built it for almost 1.5 years. Periodically postponing and switched to finishing other models. The history of this aircraft is quite funny. A year and a half ago, a man approached me with a request to make him an Il-14 aircraft to order. Moreover, the customer asked to illuminate the model and make openable hatches, doors and tiltable rudders. Having bought a model, I set to work. When the model was assembled and the lighting was made, when all that remained was to prime and paint, the customer abruptly abandons the model and the plane remains with me. And since I did not plan to build an IL-14 for myself in the near future, I decided to make this model in a quiet mode, when there was a desire, respectively, I dropped the construction speed to the maximum. The model is made: interior lighting, cockpit, rear trunk, toilet, BANO lighting. In the cockpit, he altered the engine thrusters, made a quilted seal on the wall of the frame, between the pilots and the radio operator, the navigator. The front door opens, but when applying varnish to the model, the door stuck and I did not tear it off so as not to break it. I made ventilation grilles on the engines, I made and inserted VZ channels into the air intakes for blowing the engine compartment. Exhaust pipes made of needles, burned with a gas burner, to give a natural shade from heating. The screws are turning. I installed curtains on the windows of the passengers. I installed pipelines on the main landing gear. The front strut is swivel, the wheels are rubber from the crew. Decal from Batskikh. The decal does not fit the model very much. The window openings at the decal are huge compared to the windows on the model itself. I had to close each window with a rectangular piece of decal strip and then cut through the window itself. Be careful with this decal. I told Alexei about this jamb, Batskikh said that he would fix it, but I don't know if he fixed it or not. Painted with acrylic, remover, varnish, Tamiya. Hope you like the model. With all respect, Andrew.
