Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf.L
10th Panzer Division

This is one of my earlier builds. This one should represent Panzer III Ausf. L tank, number 115, belonged to the 10th Panzer Division. The division landed in Tunisia in December 1942 and became a part of the Fifth Panzer Army. It participated in the battle of Kasserine Pass that lasted from February 19th, through the 24th, of 1943.

Only two days after the battle of Kasserine Pass, a new Axis offensive was initiated, Operation Ochsenkopf. This battle was fought against British forces and lasted from February 26th, through March 4th. This particular tank was part of the southern flank and was one of the two reported Panzer III casualties, being knocked out by the British Churchill tanks.
