Flight Sergeant Frederick George Brown No. 944101 of the Royal Airforce Volunteer Reserve died when on Friday, 29 May 1942, aircraft from 156 squadron (RAF), took off for a mission to Gennevilliers in France from Alconbury.
Brown was wireless operator and gunner on Wellington Mk3, GT-C X3706. Aircraft took off 00h27 30 May 1942. Crashed at Dugny in the northern outskirts of Paris 6 km NW of Bobigny. Cause unknown but assumed as flak. No survivors. Buried Viroflay Cemetary, Yvelines, France.
Son of Frederick and Ada Temperance Brown, and Husband of Dorothy Brown of Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire.
