Simple and always wonderful! How can you glue so cleanly? Admirable and highly entertaining!

Thank you all for your very kind comments🙂
@Sven, paintwork is in progress, step by step.
@Ronald, Tamiya Extra Thin for the styrene and a needle as applicator for the superglue work quite fine. The rest is a little bit of sanding.
Wishing you all a good start into 2021!

Thank you Bernd and Łukasz🙂
@Bernd, 1st, there is a nice plan and coloured profile of S.S. Shotton in "Steam Coaster and Short Sea Traders" 2nd, she is a smaller vessel which makes it easier for a first try of a complete scratch built I thought. 3rd, she is a nice looking ship 🙂

What a pretty little steamer ! I like these old vessels with the square superstructure and an open bridge, when was it built ?

Hi Hanno, Ingmar, thank you for your kind words🙂
Yep I much like these type of vessels too, and I am wondering, why there is no market for this type of ships!?

Hanno, I missed to answer your question. Shotton was built at Cochrane&Sons in 1909. She was built for Thomas Coppack & Co. and transport vegetables and fruits in between France and Great Britain. She was well built and fast (up to 11,5kn) but lack of cargo space. She served untill 1949 for different companies. In 1949 she was destroyed by a fire. If you are interested in these type of ships I can highly recommend the book "Steam Coasters and Short Sea Traders" by C.V. Waine & R.S. Fenton. Excellent book with a lot of information, basic layout plans, photos and drawings.
