Yeah, it is pricy (shoutout to my lhs discount 🙂 ), and has rather anoying mold lines, that tend to become anoying on something that is mainly built using pipes... but still a joy to build.

I started it in scale 1:72 and have it in 1:32. Following yours with interest to say it the Potkonski-way 🙂

Quick update, there was a loop of fishing line (0.2mm) to be used for all the cabling, I just could not get myself to use it there, so I'm twisting some copper 🙂

How does it build?

@Michael This is a really nice kit. All parts fit flawlesly, though, as already mentioned here there ARE seamlines that you have to work on (got spoiled by Eduard and RFM 🙂 ). The photo etch is quite good as well. The only part about kit that I did not like is the fishing line and there is one step in the instructions that could have been described a bit better to prevent one from a very fiddly assembly (the piece that connects steering rod to the 'main shaft' should be assembled to gether with the shaft, not two steps later).

The pilot is very well sculpted, assembles without problems, fits well to the machine.

One thing I'm a bit worried about is the rotor weight and the fact that the rotor mount is rather delicate... will see, might need to add some steel rod tomake it stiffer.

Jan, thanks for asking. I decided to work on improving my figure painting skills and have put this project on hold, but I'm confident I can go back to it over Christmas break, so expect updates 🙂
