This box art is for the Revell-Germany issue. (85-4575) I will be working with the older (circa 1987) Revell (4575). It's confusing! Same part number, slight change to box with additional decals.

Well, the rebuild is complete (I know that because I ran out of parts!)
This was not an enjoyable experience since I had to perform some tasks that were beyond my "pay grade" and the end product shows it. I have posted my difficulties in the News Feed section but what I was faced with was having to "un-bow" and "de-warp" the fuselage halves. Without a jig, this was a process of heating, bending and twisting the fuse halves using the Mark I eyeball and repeating until they were flush enough with dry mating to commit to glue. After installing the cockpit module, the lovely dry mating went to hell. Getting the nose halves to mate demanded aggressive filing and eventually brute force to get a semblance of a mating. Nevertheless, I was still left with significant gaps that had to be filled & finished. Without a good and flush mating of the nose, the scanner module will not install properly. (Thus the brute force of heavy bands & clamps.)
From a distance, it looks OK and I'll just have to be satisfied with that. I will post photos later.
