Hi all. I'm an on-and-off again life long modeler from Huntington, NY. USA. I mostly build 1/72 scale aircraft. I love the variety. 1/72 scale mostly for space issues. I'm also interested in building 1/700 ships and plank-on frame ships/boats. I also collect pre-built resin/die-cast cars;1/43 and 1/18 mostly. Sacrilege for us model builders, but I just can't help it. I also collect 1/6 military figures... oh, and also some HO trains.

Started building at 9-years old and never really stopped with gaps of many inactive years in-between. I'm sure most can relate. Time was always an issue (and laziness). My first model was an Aurora X-15. The box art caught my eye. It took me 1-month of savings to buy it. When I finally purchased “the toy” to play with, and eagerly opened the box, I was shocked to see that it was in pieces and that I needed to build the thing! I remember crying and couldn't understand for the life of me, why someone would sell a toy that needed to be built? I threw it aside and didn't look at it for a number of month. But that urge to play with that X-15 finally forced me to read the instructions, buy the glue, sit down and build it. I never looked back ever since. The satisfaction of that first build with ill fitting parts, fingerprints, glue marks and all, was awesome. I've been building all types of models ever since.
