Hi Tyu, stripes and Miss Eileen are more brown than red, but still I think is an error from Revell. But in all honestly, I build the kit to try and improve some techniques so I was not going for full accuracy.

How was the replacement resin cowl?

Hi Andrew. Quality wise, questionable as it is just a so so copy of the Tamiya kit parts (cowl and chin). Then trying to make it fit to the rest of the kit was way to much work, as you need to cut the kit chin add the tamiya copy and then extended it and blend it into the fuselage in order to match the cowl circunference. Otherwise you finish with a very strange look. In the end for me, not worth the trouble., much better to try and build the kit as is or just build the tamiya one.

Great insight! I have a Monogram kit I'll just stick with. Yeah, that guy seems to just copy things left and right.
