Corsair for the Devotion movie. I chose Tom Hudner's bird. I used Tamiya XF-17 Sea blue, thinned with water. Handpainted. I did a total of 6 coats. The overall color after the gloss sprays, looked a lot darker than I wanted. Holes for the rockets needed to be manually drilled, but the distance between holes provided on the instruction templates were shorter. One mistake i overlooked was the left-right alignment balance of the wing, it came in one piece and I had perfect fit, that's why I forgot to check the alignment. Overall, pretty easy build. More like an enlarged 1/72 scale, mono color scheme, minimal decals. Im very pleased with the results of thinning xf17 with water.

Amazing results with brush painting Tamiya paints! You can "lighten up" the dark color with oils if you want to take the plunge.
