Be careful with the gunmount. I had quite a lot of problems with it when building the early version. Refer to this buildlog bpmodels.net/Model/A..2/viewtopic.php?t=95

Making a little progress, but the gun is just about the only interior part of the kit. I'd love to show it off, but to have open hatches I'll need to do a little scratch-building.

nice and clean so far...
that´s a point I dont get... why do they include the gunmount, but not the other interior? getting modellers to buy the AM-interior?

You may be right Fabian 🙁. But the aftermarket stuff looks too expensive to me, especially for interior details that can only partly be seen. I just added a bunch of photos of my scratch-building attempts so far. 🙂

I´ve seen a modeller doing a destroyed Brummbär with chracked side amour plating, that model was worth the PE😉
But otherwise you´re right, and doing good... it´s often enough to show that there is something in, no need for beeing really accurate...😉

Posted some updates on the scratchbuilt "faux" interior for the Brummbar.

Mimd if I copy??
I wamt to display mine open and you did a great job on the interior

I'm pretty well done with interior scratch-building. Now to paint the innards.😉

Thanks William! I'm just giving it a "lick and a promise" because it's going to be hard to see through the hatches. At least it should give the "feel" of the real thing 🙂.

Finished up the interior! Not much will show through the hatches once the roof's on, but a curious person with a little flashlight (like a model contest judge) should be satisfied. 🙂

Pretty damm nice job on the interior 👍
the ammo is the same as for the SiG-33, right? Maybe the snoopy judge with the flashlight will also claim that the fueses were aluminium, not red😉

Fabian, you're right! I read they had both HE and AP shells. Not sure what color the AP were. I was betting on the "feng shui" of a splash of color over accuracy. Maybe I'll change that...😉

a bit sushi uhmm... whatever... is never a bad idea😉
But I´d say the differnece would have been shell itself, not the fuse... but that´s rather guessing than knowing....

This is looking so good man
Just got wifi and im going to be getting back in action in 2 days😄

Martyn: Thanks! 🙂
Fabian: Made the shell fuses aluminum, but left a red ring.😉
Hunter: Glad you're back in action! 👍
Construction is done, now it's time to paint 😄

There was a big problem getting the gun to fit into the ball-shaped mantlet. It took a lot of carving to get it to fit and seat properly. Fortunately, none of that is visible, once the gun is seated correctly.

Updated some photos. Almost done, just need to paint the exterior details (tools, cables, exhaust, etc.) and add the wheels, tracks and skirts.

Pretty cool George, this thing even looks like a bear! I'm in, waiting to see it with the tracks mounted...............

Brilliant job, so far, George!
I love your work on the interior! Simply amazing and a great paintjob'! Its fun to watch your steps!👍

Thanks Bill! I don't usually like all the extra work of building an interior, but it was fun this time 🙂
