Thank you all. There is always that fine line that is so easy to cross when it comes to weathering and I try to stay on the right side and not get carried away.

Hey Mats. I really love the Hellcat. One of my favorite planes ever (probalby the reason why I ve around 6 kits of it 😛 ). With what colors did you paint it?
6 November 2014, 19:05

Hi Soeren. I used Gunze Mr Color acrylics for the basic paint scheme; H316 white, H56 Intermediate blue, and H54 Navy blue. The weathering was done with Tamiya acrylics, Humbrol enamels, and various artist oil colours and pigment powder.

Thx I will also use Mr Hobby acrylics so it's nice to know which colors to use.
Which color did you use for the cockpit? I wanted to use the same color I used my Spitfire.

Thanks Gary. I have more stashed away due to lack of space and they are not available at the moment. I have to do that from time to time to keep room for the new ones.
Soeren, I painted the cockpit with Humbrol 78 mixed with a touch of yellow.

Hmm ok damm 🙁 Then I will probably take the color I used for the Spitfire. Think this should fit.

Your welcome Soeren, it is always fun to share knowledge and experience.
