WoW nice! I like it. 👍 Such pictures slowly drag me away from my tanks and my mind tells me i should start with jets too. 🙂

I'm following that one. I used to buy it but I've ordered the Su-33 from Kinetic (ex Aviation Art) instead.

Thank you Michel! I don't know if it is gonna be the best, I'll try to build it as close as real. I've seen most other modellers are taking a more generic approach to this kit - for example, I am just about to start with painting process and I've searched for and found photos from all sides of the particular aircraft I am building. This way, I will be able to accurately represent all the paint fading and weathering as seen on a real aircraft.

Wonderful work. It's amazing the impact all those minuscule decals create to the appearance of the model.
Cheers

Hi very good result, i like it very much. I'm curious about the jet exhausts, did you have any issues with those while installing? I had extreme problems and i know i'm not the only one, i've heard a couple of complaints, too, and one of them was a master builder.
26 February 2016, 19:08

Thank you! Selman - what kind of problems? I had a perfect fit on them - no problems whatsoever. Fitting them to the fuselage is a bit on a hard side, yes, but once they click in, they stay there. I think that even some paint on the attachement locations can cause you trouble.
26 February 2016, 22:24

Hi Sebastijan, yes that's exactly what happened to me, they didn't click in. That could be the problem, paint on the attachment locations, thanks.

3 March 2016, 00:19

That looks great! How did you do the pink canopy strips? Excellent details
3 March 2016, 20:41

Thank you guys!
ForestFan - as they do in real life - painted freehand, although my paintbrush is probably a tad smaller than they use on real aircraft 😄
4 March 2016, 17:07

Clifford - I just painted the canopy seals with brush - no mastery needed here, just a steady hand and a thin brush 🙂
6 March 2016, 06:37

Hey, thank you Sebastijan- that is an answer to question haunting me for a long time!
6 March 2016, 10:06

Thanks! Oh and it helps that on the real aircraft (apart from the new or refurbished ones), this sealant paint is applied quite wide and irregular so no need for perfect straight even lines.
