Danumurthi, i love your painting skills! Your Harrier looks "alive". Especially the heat effekt behind the nozzles! I pull my hat for you.👍😄

thanks Holger. I made two AV-8B in the past and all were "clean" builds. the 3rd I was bored and wanted to make it a "weathered" look this time.

And it turned out really well, chapeau.
Did you used preshading only or was it the dark basecoat method with several lighter shades of grey you prefer. In my last builds i'm slowly starting weathering my models. But i'm still far away from such results.

Hi Andy... thats great. I started weathering my models only as of this year. Before everything was clean. About the AV-8B.. actually its applied AFTER all the painting process is done. I dilluted XF-1 flat black, also X-19 smoke with lots of thinner. And i set my airbrush to spray 20% and compressor to low at 9psi. And then do lots of repeats based on my ref pics.

And, Andy.... if I do a mistake (i.e. too much or too thick).. i would erase it with spraying a thin layer of the base color until got it right. I think i might have used a tiny drop of XF-10 Flat brown in the mix but i dont remember.

Thanks for your explanation. There's still a lot of practicing for me, and with your Harrier i got a good reference for the one in my Stash.
