WOW! And you managed that out of a Testors kit! You must be able to work miracles. Excellent job Danumurthi.

Thanks @Gorbygould. I wish there were more miracles that doing hard work! LoL. I think the interiors took the lion share of the build. 60% consumed in making the cockpit alone. 20% on the clear canopy, wheel bay interiors and other small nuances. But once those are done, the rest was rather "easy".

It's a shame there isn't any photos of the cockpit - I'd love to see it.
30 January 2017, 17:48

Hi @Gorbygould. Just added 4 images on the cockpit section. Totally built from ground up. Panels were taken from an F-4J cockpit as they look similar. Add some wiring and walls. Seats were a gag of homemade resin cast, copperwire, styrene plates, rods, and masking tape.

Yeah, I for shure like your Bronco. And I do agree with Gorbybuild, some detail pictures are appreciated.

You will get a good shiny canopy.@Ed Froix. Just need a bit of work and patience.

Just additional info, if interested. The Mk82 were from hasegawa weapons set A (X48-1). Wile the 150 gal Aero 1C drop tanks were made by mating 2 different drop tanks (from an F-4 and AV-8 kit)

That is outstanding Dan (I hope you don't mind me calling you Dan LOL)! And the fact that it is the poorly regarded Testors kit makes this all the more impressive. Bravo!

Nice work on this one... Certainly give some positive vibes to start this one...
did you change the distance between the twin-boom or did you leave it like that?
31 January 2017, 10:08

NP @Michael. 🙂 glad you liked it. Yeah, that kit is the only game in town in 1/48 scale. Wish some producers took notice!

some are it seems, but the road is still long and bumpy... arcforums.com/forums..nco/#comment-2835720

Thanks, @Bart. I read somewhere of issues with the length of the boom or the dorsal spines are too short. I left it as is. It still looks like a Bronco to me!
31 January 2017, 14:32

Thanks @Roberto! Hi @Bart I said it too soon. Thx for the link. Good to know there is one new mould in the works! I feel their frustration at the Testor kit in the thread.

Nice job. Very similar to Venezuelan camouflage colors version ofor Bronco. I love it. I have the same model in my stash.

Thanks @Luis. Yest @Ivan, I saw the Venezuelan version when I was researching on my Bronco. Lots in common!
4 February 2017, 13:56

When I was a child I had the opportunity to be into a Venezuelan air force bronco. In fact I saw in first person when 25 years ago during the coupe d'etat a GtoA missile hit one bronco (UNLOYAL) and the pilot ejected just before airplane felt on the airbase. Look at the video. Sadly today we are not proud of that. Youtube Video

Hi Dan, know it's been a while but, can you remember how did you manage with those Indonesian marks ? Apparently there are a couple of new Bronco's on 1/48th to be released soon. Thanks

@Ivan VT WOW. that video is pretty raw! I am so sorry to hear about the 1992 coup. just read it on Wikipedia. it must be so confusing. I lived through our 1998 rezim change in Indonesia. so many tanks, soldiers in the streets but hard to tell who they were supporting. it was bloody, confusing and scary.

Hi @Ricardo2020 - I made the decals myself on Corel Draw. that was before a friend of mine made the Indonesian marks (the pentagram). Send me a direct message (DM) if you think you need any of them.
