Very strange error uploading photos from phone. Getting failed result but in album the photo appear upside down. Wondering if last 2 pictures with last night work are visible

Phone photos upload still upside down. Anyone knows why? and when i upload from phone it goes in news feed like i add whole album not the last photo

The photos aren't your fault Razvan - many members are having the same problem. Tim is aware, but it seems to be taking quite a while to sort it out. Even when the photo is the correct way up on whatever device you are using, sometimes it gets re-orientated when it is uploaded.

Was wondering i was doing something wrong. In other news Eduard wants to make me die of apoplexy with those photo-etched levers. managed in 2 hours to put all eight.

I know exactly what you mean – photo etch is 50% pleasure, 50% pain, but the final effect I think is worth it.

Slow progress due to life events. Last photo -Cockpit 70% done in a dry-fit test on the fuselage. Is that too much weathering?

The weathering looks good to me Razvan. I can't imagine that they were hot on housework in these things – so likely to be quite mucky.

I'm not a fan of after-market stuff normally, but I love Eduard photo etch. The cockpit looks very good.

2 weekends ago i had my "dumb" moment. I just made stupid things after stupid things: glued the wings without the wheel components that went into the wings, painted one wing with wrong color and without having engine nacelles glued, glued the gas canisters that go into plane nose upside down....etc.
So last week was spent to correct these errors and the only real progress was this weekend.

Finished the MG compartment from the nose, masked the open parts, finished the engine nacelles, glued all wings into place, filled the huge gaps between the wings and engines (i have to find a better material than the Hobby Boss white putty as is good for flat surfaces but is not modeled good enough in tight spaces so i will have to be careful on weathering those areas to make it look good), primed the model including re-priming the wrong painted wing (which i had to rivet and scribe again to keep the same depth on the details)and painted the underbelly.

Underbelly was painted with a mix of MIG ammo RLM 65 50%-50% Transparator (what a great product). I managed even in my noobish state of painting with airbrush to control the transparency and make the shading of panels visible but not too visible.

You aren't alone Razvan – I sometimes have entire weeks like that. I can't see any signs of your 'dumb' moment, so it looks like you have recovered well. You've probably learn some lessons in the process, so the experience will make you a better modeller.

Very slow progress. upper part first color applied, working now at engine exhaust pipes. Seems a nice preshading with a good transparency control.

Thanks guys. I dont like the kit too much due to the engine nacelles problems. I hope the 1/72 is better in this regard. almost finished the exhaust pipes.

In the weekend i need to finish the camouflage scheme, the small parts that still need painting ( wheels bay doors and some small parts) and to apply a gloss coat. Then i can also apply the decals.

then the weathering and the canopy ..... seems a long way to go.

Decals and stencils applied. I decided not to put numbers on the panel (as in instructions) cause i value my sanity more than 100% historical realism. Those numbers are 1mm each....
DecalFIx from Humbrol is an amazing product. No silvering, decals retract themselves on panel-lines. For my lack of experience, this product is a god gift on this step.
Now need more gloss varnish coats and then weathering.

Heavy weathering on upper part almost done. Tested a lot of new tehniques: reverse color panel lining with streaking, streaking rust, enamel filters, exhaust lines with pigments (pretty fail, need better brushes morr suited for pigment work) , sponge chipping with enamel(huge fail) and acrylic (decent).
Looks decent overall in my begginer eyes.
Critiques especially in term on how the weathering should look highly appreciated

Agreed - your weathering looks superb! I think modelers are generally too afraid to go far enough with this, although IMHO there is a definite distinction between weathering and shading effects: I can't help but note a general tendency to underdo the former and overdo the latter. I think your balance is spot on 👍

Weathering looks really good. @Alec K - Totally agree with you on the current trend of shading over weathering. IMHO I think unrestrained shading kills a model dead!

Thank you guys. @gorbygould I think anyone has the meaning to do this if he has the tools and will. I have a lot of troubles imagining the final model so i work technique by technique and go with the flow. what i recommend is the books (Ammo encyclopedia of aircraft, AK also has some books and i saw some others in the market) regarding techniques. Going to youtube is useful, but having the book with step by step near your eyes is without replacement.
I used Ammo products: Panel Lining, Filters, dry and liquid pigments, The mighty Citadel Nuln Oil, lots of brushes (as i dont have enough good ones but at least being in thinner so often i get them cleaned 🙂 ), the always useful toothpick and cotton-bud.

Thank you Spanjaard. I have to receive soon a diffusion tent with better lightning so maybe ill make better photos. In rest, this kit was a good way to learn new things
