I started this little in between project last weekend. The assembly of the tractor and the basic work on the base are done. Building the tractor was a lot of fun, I can fully recommend this little kit. Next I will prime the single groups.
I will keep you current, cheers

Mike you are welcome. Your excellent build inspired me to build the tractor

Thank you Spanjaard.
No matter Mike, your tractor deserves it.
Work on this project went on. I finished the assembly and the tractor got its colorcoat. On the base I added the first colors too. Next steps will be the detail painting on the tractor and the base.
At last I did some little scratchbuild, can you identify what I tried to depict?
Cheers

Very cool Moritz!
It looks like a low-flying plane might have taken that guy's head off!! 🙂

Thank you gary. You and your morbid fantasies are welcome😉

Photo 22 looks like a scene out 'the living dead', but the base in particular looks excellent.

Thank you Gorby, you are always welcome. And you are right in case of pic 22😉

Wow, excellent work and presentation. Would you mind sharing what is the base made of and how you modeled the grass? Thx.
28 February 2017, 13:49

Thank you Kim, Zsolt and Alec.
@Alec
The base is build on a wooden board. I glued the plastic sheets on the sides and filled it with a plaster-sand-mixture. After drying I added different kinds of sand on the surface and fixed it with white glue thinned with water. In this step I also fixed the boxes and fuel drums.
While the sand was still wet I used the kit-tires to make the tire tracks.
The grass is made with ready to use tufts from SCM Brand: Silhouette

I hope this helps, otherwise feel free to ask again.
Cheers

I love the whole thing, great presentation - especially because it's so basic.

What a great build and presentation. So many details to be found when looking at it. Love the water on the top of the oil drum. Great stuff!

Thank you Michael and Ferry, I' m really happy about your nice comments. Thanks

Wow Moritz, what a beautyful scene! I really like your tractor and be speechless about the paint job and weathering! I really like the grass and especially the flowers. Also the weathered wood planks and the other things like the boxes and the "Wellblech" 🙂 Overall, for me a masterpiece! Congratulations! I'm thinking about to putt a tractor on my wish list. But it will be a torture for my little son (2 years) he loves tractors but he never get it to play with it 😉

Thank you Spanjaard, Rui and Marco.
@Marco
I know your issue very well, my daughters (2 and 4) are totally focused on my workplace in the basement, but meanwhile they learned to leave their hands of. But sometimes they can help me, so they filled in the plaster on this base.
Cheers

Moritz, do I see some mosquitoes in the water on that oil drum? Now, that's a great touch! I just can't make out the species..🙂
Beautiful work indeed!

Excellent weathering Moritz. Is the headless man due to return, or was that just the 'work in progress' ghost?
1 March 2017, 17:06

Thank you Gary and Gorby
Gary with the next update you can search some more animals on the base
Gorby, no the headless man will return to his tractor, probably with his head on his neck😢
I think I will finish this project this evening. I will keepyou current

Splendid work, Moritz!👍 Looking forward to seeing it at the exhibition in Lingen.
2 March 2017, 06:42

Wow, what a wonderful scenery. Really life like with all the small bits and pieces, flowers, dogs and rats🙂
Very well done 👍
2 March 2017, 09:08

After looking at these pics for quite some more time, it's only getting better. So many tiny details. Really inspiring!

Excellent diorama Moritz, I definitely prefer the 'head on' photos. Any diorama with a dog in it gets a big thumbs up from me. 👍
2 March 2017, 13:30

Thanks for your nice comments mates, much appreciated.
I hope you will join my next build too, I think a diorama with an german Airfield mower (Hanomag SS100 Gigant) would fit perfectly next to this one on my shelf.
