First layer of clearcoat is done. I decided to get it another layer after smooth sanding next week.

Factory stock, the wheels stance is a bit to much out of the wheel house. So I took off some material at the disk brakes...

And the inner rim. At the rear axle it was enough to drill the hole for the pin wider that the rim went more to the inner side.

Thaf makes the wheels pretty good into the wheel house. As you see, the C3 is on the finish line.

🙂 The Corvette is cool. Like it. I like Pontiac Firebird, Honda and the old Beetle too. But I put that project with the silver Corvette into my mind and try to get through it until I'm bored *lol*
Some kits (especially the older kits) are a challenge. This is one reason to do it. I like the old kits and the challenge to put a good looking kit on the wheels.
I'll do my best😉

Thank you! I think the angle of the latest picture shows the sexy design at it's best 🙂 I love the shape of the front fenders. The body will be sitting for a minimum of 10 days until it's getting wet sanded and afterwards the second layer of clearcoat. It will get it's time.

I don't know why AMT didn't check the sitting of the wheels. If they wouldn't had done this small inner ring around the pin (which I sanded down), the wheels would fit perfect into the wheelhouse.
