Really impressed with Airfix decals + MicroSol. I've never been able to get them to conform to the underlying details of the model so well. Once I cover this with a varnish it should be indistinguishable from paint. 

I've got all the large decals completed and am going through all the tiny text decals to finish it up. These decals really are amazing. Really sharp detail and they're so incredibly thin and look just like paint. You can also see some progress I'm making with the landing gear and spinner in the background. 

unfortunately it looks like I should have glued the top of the spinner onto the assembly before painting - that way I could have sanded and made that join cleaner. I think I could have done that before mating it to the back portion with the propeller blades inserted. Oh well, live and learn. 

Finally finished all the small decals and covered the decals with gloss. I decided there was a spot with some divots I didn't take care of properly when I first glued it together so I've sanded that out and once the gloss is dry I'll mask and repaint that portion.
