I will build this, too and will use your model as a reference 🙂

have fun with that... I black based it first, then white marbling. I used a light grey for the main colour, dry brushed white to pick out details and used Tamiya Black Panel Liner. Engines were painted with a metallic grey/black

Hey Mark/Cobra, nicely done! I love these little Bandai kits as side-quest to side-quests of my main projects... Unfortunately the speed of Australia Post and stock levels of Brisbane hobby stores make it necessary.... So this Star Destroyer kit is my distraction this weekend! I've gone for a lighter undercoat as I don't want it to end up looking too dark, with plans to pinwash into the crevices. Unfortunately I've found the deep details of these kits just absorb washes like crazy and make the tone very dark... Did your Tamiya panel-liner behave straight out of the bottle, or was there a bit of cleanup afterwards? Wondering if I should adopt a more dilute wash based on past experience with these kits

a bit of clean up afterwards... do some dry brushing as well, to pick up the smaller detail.
