I recently purchased these three magnificent books from this elite division of the German army in Normandy. The author, Frédéric Dupin, has done a titanic job of research for more than 10 years with a lot of testimonials from veterans and superb photos, often unpublished.
A human story as touching as it is terrible which begins with the reformation of the unit in France, at the end of 1943 until the exit of the Falaise pocket.
A treat for fans of battle of Normandy and modellers.
