Airfix Bf-109. E3

In my view this is what 72nd scale modelling is about….. 

A well thought out kit, drops together with just the right amount of detail for the scale. No vices and from the “Middle at Lidl” for £7….Bargain!!!, and I bought 3 of them. [With apologies to the parents seeking a child's Christmas stocking filler!!]

This whole build (not yet finished) has taken 7hrs I’d say so far. This is the essence of a quick’n’dirty build! 

Decals on- basic as expected, (no minor stencils), Swastikas from spares. 

Such a sweet kit 

Will add some washes and smokes. 

 

95-percent complete, just need the AirMaster barrels  

When I have more patience I will have a go at the wire again. 

That cannon, though! 

The cowling can be displayed open too with a decent engine for the scale  

 

Finished with the Air Master series barrels for added detail and strength. 

I like their (Air Master) products- not really visible in these pictures- but adds to the finesse  

I also added a better aerial arrangement from Uschi and I tried a stretched piece of sprue for the vertical- which is better than using another piece of Uschi?  

Finally, I added a fine piece of stretched sprue to the canopy opener
