Bell P-39Q Airacobra

The decal instructions label the aircraft "Red 100" as being in overall Neutral Grey. Given the photos that exist of the aircraft, it appears to have been a (just) post-war repaint of an Airacobra in the Soviet Union, where Neutral Grey is *very* uniikely to have been the color. It's much more likely to have been one of the late war/early post-war light blue-grey shades, not unlike the A-36m used on La-9s and La-11s.

The.1/72 kit this is a replacement for - no idea who made it. It was in a post-war Polish scheme, as the personal aircraft of some senior officer. However, I’m not committing to replicate the schemes of the old kits - too many were flat out wrong - so this’ll be Red 100.
