A long journey

Full build of the MPM 1/72 scale Spitfire PR XIX. I started this build several years ago and it recently re-surfaced so I thought I'd get it completed.
This is quite an old kit (first released in 1993) and bearing in mind it is a short-run kit there is quite a bit of work to be done to get a decent fit. The mouldings have finely engraved panel line but, when presented with a rough surface finish that needs to be rubbed down with a fine abrasive, some of this is lost. You do get a vacform canopy and an etched brass fret for the cockpit, undercarriage doors plus pitot and u/c parts.
