9P138 Grad-1 on ZIL-131

 

Great details on the engine. It consists of ~40 parts! 

The linkage between the engine and the....what IS that? The differential? The gearbox is directly behind the engine... anyway, the linkage was tricky to install since it goes through a hole in the frame and has to be snapped in at both ends without exerting too much preassure on any other part. 

 

Again a lot of parts went into this section. The order of the instructions can be ignored here. If you attach those connections to the axels first, they will give you the proper position for the axles on the springs. 

 

I´m really enjoying this more complex built compared to the Revell kits I´ve built so far. With the base of the truck almost done, it is starting to look rather complex with all the connections criss-crossing each other. 

This section almost felt like an analog version of the game "My Summer Car"...
