Thank you very much gentlemen 🙂 I need to disassemble my airbrush since it contains small particles of gold color which is not welcomed before applying clear coat. I need second gun in the future 🙂

Nice work David. The subtle weathering looks good to me. Would be fine to see more photos😉

looks very cool. Can you give some details on the painting (what colours used, weathering techniques etc.)?

Thank you gentlemen 🙂
@Alex: Sure, no problem 🙂
1) Basic color is Gunze Mr. Color paint, I've done some postshading along engraved lines and emphasized shadows.
2) I've sealed everything with gloss coat, put the decals on + Gunze solution for decals (I should make better gloss coat on sides because decals are silvering), then another coat of gloss varnish.
3) AK dark wash and streaking grime for ships above waterline, tweaks done by wide damp brush moistered with White Spirit.
4) Masked waterline and painted with dark brown Gunze Mr. Color paint diluted to 95% to create water residue on the hull (USS Greeneville so far, check the new pictures).
5) Dots of faded UN white along the waterline done with oil paints 502 Abteilung and tweaked with the wide damp brush (White Spirit) down the hull to create salty water effect.
6) Dots of German Ochre 502 Abteilung oil paints on the top surfaces tweaked with damp sponge (White Spirit)
7) Dots of faded UN white (502) on the hull above the waterline also tweaked with sponge.
That's it so far. Please note that I am no pro modeler and I'm just playing around with stuff.

Thanks for the explanation, it will help when I'm trying to build my first submarines. I'm really tempted by the cheap Hobby Boss, they look nice.

@Alex I encourage you to do it, they're really cheap and you will have a lot of fun with them.
