Niiiice. Following. Will it have full intakes and compressor fans?
20 March 2016, 07:32

Thanks for following! Mathie maybe i'l put some compressors fans. Was looking yesterday how felix did his on his rf-4! Don't know if i can do a full intake but the half bottom for sure! Something to trick the eye and fill the huge gap there.

Research on the general shape and detail of the original aircraft is interesting, as none of the two kits available in 72nd scale (Italeri and Dragon) seem to be off a bit here and there. Already got some ideas from your work 🙂
20 March 2016, 12:57

Indeed Burkhard and keep in mind that PAV-2 is different from PAV-1 too! Are you planning building an yf-23?
20 March 2016, 13:43

Yes, I have both the Italeri and the Dragon, and a bunch of photos downloaded from the 'net. But first I have to finish the Dragon YF-22 and a dozen others 'in progress' 🙂
Actually meant to say that both are *off* a little bit, as you have shown already.

Updating the Album , i worked another 4 sessions mainly on exhausts! new photos start from #15
3 April 2016, 23:44

Nice work on of the most beautiful planes ever (in my humble opinion)
4 April 2016, 08:14

Ditto Bart, i love the shape of the 23.
Aris, awaiting the end result with great interest. I'm sure it's gonna be a looker in the display cabinet once finished.
4 April 2016, 08:19

Thanks Bart and Murad, I agree, yf-23 has the most beautiful silhouette designed ever for an aircraft!
4 April 2016, 09:15

Thanks for you attention Dave and Mike. I added some photos starting from #37. I worked mainly on the exhausts.I primmed somes areas to check the work!

Two more sessions, i have an update with the panel lines. I'm using, mainly, Zactoman's YF-23 model reference. More vents to be added soon and some corrections too for my mistakes. Kits panel lines was a bit general. On my first build i used them as guides, not on this one for a more precise result.

Fine work Ari. Fitting the upper and lower half of the fuselage seems a bit trouble, especially in the wings. Keep up the good work.
18 April 2016, 10:30

Mathie and John thanks, fitting is ok, maybe some putty will be needed for the gaps. Update with more photos starting from #60. Added some details on the belly and scribed the half nose section. I also posted some References. Not perfect results on the model but after a primer and a distance look , hope will add some nice detail on the model. 😛
18 April 2016, 23:28

Update starting from #75. This night i worked more on the nose section and started to scribe the top surface of the aircraft!
21 April 2016, 00:53

You've been doing quite a lot of stuff pn this old beauty. Can't wait to see the paintjob and decals.
22 April 2016, 22:30

Νew pics from #81, working on top details. Actual aircraft has some curved panels, hard to simulate. Hobbyboss kit has corners too.
22 April 2016, 22:33

Hey now i've seen your comments Thanks for your thoughts Keesler and Mathie. The thing about paintjob is the color tone. I've seen photos having a blueish color and other a more greyish one!I think the grey is right one 🙁, blueish is more attractive. I have many gunship grays will play around when the time is come.
22 April 2016, 23:04

Bart Thank you, John you too. Added two more photos with some more paneling on the top surface and the leading edges. (#96, #97)
