Hi Bart, thanks, but I decided to stay with the contents of the kit 🙂 Currently it's already sprayed green, but the enamel has to dry before I continue 🙂

Sorry to dissapoint you, but the Cobra landed in the trash bin tonight. It went fine till I started sealing the kit using GX112, then it reacted with the Humbrol under the gloss varnish and started to peel off everywhere 😠 Maybe one day I'll build another one, but for now I'm moving on to other kits. In case you want to check the details, I added the pics and captions from todays fight.

Either GX100 gloss layer was too thin or I sprayed too much of GX112. I'll retest it soon on some unused parts.

Could you have stripped the paint and started over down the road?

Well, nope, I do it only for the rare kits (e.g. Avanti or Electra). This tooling is freely available either from Aeroplast or Italeri, so I'll build one of them would I ever like to come back to this topic😉
And I have another single-engined Cobra in my stash too, so I decided it's not worth it.
