Ah ok! I agree with you, I searched the Sword here and there but no results!

Anyway, I have to admit that the old and glorious Supermodel is very good: very little putty needed, perfect fit, not bad at all! 👌🏻

Yes, really an eye catching camo, made "on the go" during a reconditioning. The "smoke rings" were very imprecise 🙂

An update: I started applying the Mike Grant's decals (that landed in my house a decade ago), then started painting with a micro brush.

The colour between the decals and the Lifecolor is the same! Very satisfied!

Almost finished! I applied the landing gear and prepared the canopy and the propeller.

PS Dear Cuajete, I did it! Yesterday evening I found on eBay the Sword "6 Reggiane s" kit at a reasonable price and I got it 🙂

Working on the landing gears, added the propeller and the canopy. Not completely satisfied about the latter..I use a small brush but I have still to work around with a toothpick.
Started also to add the antenna wires.

Dear Cuajete and Guy, many thanks for your kind words! I touched up the canopy, I worked a bit with soft pastels, and I declare this model finished!

Although I have still to improve some technics (as an example, I used a perfect transparent form Falcon, next time I'll try to apply masks and to work more on internal detailing 🙂 ) I'm very satisfied with the overall appearance. 🙂

@Cuajete: I have now another Re 2001 from Supermodel and a Re 2001 from Sword; let my reflect until the end of the summer if I'll consider to build the latter, otherwise I'll be glad to give you the latter 😉

Moreno, many thanks! Of course I'll let you reflect as long as you need, but don't give me Sword's Re.2001 if you finally get rid of it; sell it to me in that case. And if you decide to keep it to make a new Re.2001, it will be a pleasure to see that new build in your hands 🙂

Many thanks, Gordon! Not all the smoke rings are decals, many are brush painted 🙂 I used an "N .0" brush (made by the Italian firm "Amati" and the Lifecolor Verde oliva scuro": a perfect match 🙂
