It is one of those ugly but interesting aircraft I have seen once in a while in pictures over the years and just never expected to get a kit of, in such a nice format too (with some elbow grease). Bought from Hannants of course, while the exchange rate was favorable. Shipping was still considerable, so I just had to keep adding to my basket until it became proportionally less...

This is the Xtrakit 2022 release no. 72017, Saunders-Roe SRA-1. Pretty much out-of-box build of this quirky, fish-like, and ultimately unsuccessful experimental, with a new vac canopy and careful paint and finishing. Lots of small corrections and refinements needed, as par with any limited-run kit. No instructions for the 3D decals are provided, but with a reference cockpit picture you can figure enough out. I have a WIP posted at tapatalk.com/groups/..ing-boat-t12751.html which anyone going into this build would be wise to consult for some heads-ups.
