Benim hakkımda

I was born on 25th November 1964 in Cairo of Egypt from Greek parents. On 1968 we came to Greece, Athens, where I live until now.

As every kid in '70s I was playing with plastic soldiers (1/72, 1/76 scale) and I built my first model in the age of 10 with the help of my uncle Anthony. I kept collecting small-scale figures and constructing models (mostly armor), so I could have more strength in my Army and play with my friends. From 15 to 20 I stopped as I discovered women.

I went into the hobby more professionally when I was in the University studying Physics. I started building dioramas and writing articles for Greek magazines from 1996 until now (Model Kit, Modelling, Model Expert). From 1998 not only am I the editor of Model Expert, but also the editor in English Special Editions of Periscopio Publications, such as Model Expert Aviation Series, Military Series, Show Series, Photo Gallery & Profiles, Air Power Modelling, Warbirds Modeling 1 & 2 (for Kalmbach Publishing in cooperation with Periscopio Publications), Advanced Figure Modelling, Great Battles of the World (in cooperation with Squadron/Signal Publications), Famous Aircraft of the World (in cooperation with Squadron/Signal Publications) and Military Essays (in cooperation with Squadron/Signal Publications). Seven years ago I established Mr Black Publications company which now has published 25 modelling books (Scale Model Handbook series)on Figures, Dioramas, and Military themes.

I am an active modeler, more interested in figures, vignettes and small dioramas. For the past five years I have been a judge at Euromilitaire competition.
