AM reboxed a Revell/Monogram kit? Crazy times, we are living in... 🙂

Yes i agree, that would make me crazy too. And the Eduard PE parts are not too expensive... Would be cheaper to buy them apart!

I can't help you with the colors question, but what I suggest. Do a search here on scalemates, filter the results on scale 1:48. Take one of the subjects that you like and where the color seems fine... and see what colors he used? 🙂 (you may hate me because of this answer 🙂 )

no problem Tim, I've figured things out, doint the tritone scheme, white/intermediateblue/navyblue like I did on my Dauntless, but I'm gonna fade 'em strongly this time, that'll ask for some heavy worn chipping too 🙂

Do you use Enamels or Acrylics? I think Humbrol has nice Navy-specific-colours. White Ensign Models too!

I use intermediate blue by vallejo model air- navy blue by gunze acrylic - for white I use vallejo's US grey light 0045, for white is TOO white, the 0045 gives a great scaled white tone

That sound good! I never worked with Gunze, can there be trouble, mixing them with Vallejo?

I did it only once yet, cause vallejo doesn't have the right navybluetone in their range, worked out great, I even did not dillute it, sprayed it straight out o' the can. Take a look at the Dauntless in my " my models " album

pic of the left wingrootproblem. Tried to solve it by glueing spars in the winghole but that caused a crack in the bow, so I'll have to "putty" it away
