Finished it with a Matt varnish, however, should it be semi gloss for the metal parts, and the Matt varnish only for the green top paint and bottom? It looks a bit flat with the Matt varnish overall…
Seems the Orginal planes did not look too shiny during war times…
Heavy weathering on the bottom part due to many mistakes to cover up 😂 but was thankful it still was manageable for a a my first scale model build.

I think it looks good Stephan. 👍 I misted a very light coat of matte varnish on to my F-84 and I think it replicates fairly well the dull, but not too dull, aluminum of an aircraft in service.

Finalized it for now with a semi gloss varnish on the metal parts.

Loved to build this 1st and challenging kit, with lots of new techniques and new things learned.
