Fuselage halves and all of the interior pieces glued together, fit looks very good so far.  

I'm not going to open the weapon bay, so only the gun barrels and the front of the bulkhead are painted. 

The front landing gear support strut held in place by a piece of Blue-tac to keep it from harm during the next steps of the build - I hope it survives until final landing gear assembly 😉 

The main wheel well and the cockpit tub underside look pretty busy, it's a shame you won't see much of that once the wing is installed. 

The airframe is completed, engine nacelles are in place too. The kit's fit is awesome so far, I think it will really only need a tiny bit of putty to fix the joint of the front edge of the center wing and the fuselage. 

 

 

If you plan not to open the weapons bay don't waste your time building the whole cannon platform, nothing will be seen out there. Additionally, I had to shave a bit of the guns plastic so that the cover snugs in place nicely. 

 

I spent some time today on detailing the landing gear legs and covers. 

Some of these Eduard PE parts are ultra-tiny, I can't imagine crafting something like this in 72th scale... 

 

Masked and covered the main body, getting ready for a primer layer now. 

 

Airbrushed Mr. Surfacer 1500 on the airframe, had it polished and played with spraying the preshading in various colors today afternoon. The model is ready for the RLM76 application. 

 

 

I'm done with RLM76 on the bottom and sides of the fuselage and engine nacelles. Masked it a bit and started preshading the top.
