To Clifford Keesler:
This kit is still available in the Czech Republic. Sold in another box from another manufacturer, but the contents are the same: mn-modelar.com/1-48-suchoj-su-7-bkl-1/

No big progress yet. I repair surface lines and details. Lines and details on the surface of the kit parts are shallow and soft.

I think it is looking good. I have the Eduard Big ED set for my kits.

Additional photographs were added to the photo album - replacing the original aerodynamic ridges with new ones made of 0.25 mm plastic plate

I glued the wings and horizontal tail surfaces to the fuselage. Unfortunately, when setting the correct position of the wings and horizontal tail surfaces, this was not possible without large gaps. Well, it's an old kit. I'm going to need a lot of putty and sanding. For a better idea, I added photos to the album.

Vallejo plastic putty works well for gaps like that. It may take a couple of appilactions, as it does shrink a little while drying. But you can apply it and smooth it out with a damp cotton swab. I sometimes use plastic card stock to fill gaps like that also.

Hi Clifford, thank you for the advice and willingness to help 🙂
First, I filled the biggest gaps with pieces of plastic cards. For smaller gaps, I used plastic threads, which I pulled from plastic trees. After the glue has dried, I grind the repaired areas. I will eventually use the putty to repair fine scratches and achieve a smooth surface.

Thank you! However, much work remains to be done to complete the model.

Finally forward 🙂 . After a lengthy process - engraving, grinding, cleaning, repairs, re-engraving, re-grinding, re-cleaning and re-repairs ... I was finally able to spray the model with a surfacer. The contours of the panels, covers and new rivets are now clearly visible. (I added photos to the album.)

Hi Nikolaos. Yes, I will make this plane as a Czech Air Force machine. I put the complete color scheme in the photo album "SU-7BKL, OEZ Letohrad 1:48 build kit - part II"

Interesting scheme and looking great. Here's a link to that album: SU-7BKL, OEZ Letohrad 1:48 build kit - part II | Album by KLuK (1:48)

Thank you Nathan for inserting the link 🙂.
