When I started to build USS TICONDEROGA out of Trumpeters TICO kit I did not know that Gallery would release a kit of USS INTREPID just a couple of months later. Well, the hull was already blistered and many hours went into the necessary changes. I will use both the Trumpeter kit and parts of the Gallery kit to build TICO as the looked in 1969 during her last deployment as CVA off the coast of Vietnam.

Torben Ke 作者Hi mates, some progress shots as promised. I have blistered the Trumpeter hull and started with the photo etch design for the model. The bow is enclosed and some hangar details are in place. You will notice that there are some structures in place which will not be visible anymore in the next updates. What you can see is the status before Gallerys Intrepid went onto my desk. I will use several parts out of the Gallery kit so I have to remove some of the already build structure.
