Falling in love with sports cars

On a trip to the US I rented a Corvette Stingray 2015. I always liked Corvettes and when I drove one, I fell in love. I fell in love with sports cars and Corvettes in particular.

My goal with this project is to reproduce the Corvette I rented. I'm a bit disappointed the model came already red, details painted on, glasses glued. I'll need to undo all of that to paint it yellow. I also need to the roof to make it look like in the second picture. I may be biting more than I can chew.

Update: painting went really badly and I just sort of cancelled the project. I did put together, but it's not nice.
