Though I built and hand-painted a couple of kits in my teens (laughably badly) , I'm really a novice model builder. All this weathering, photoetch and lighting malarkey is strange and terrifying but I'm just diving right in! Hopefully, by the time I get even a quarter of the way through my stash I'll be quarter-way to becoming average...
In a sort-of panic over the unknown effects of Brexit to the UK economy (just in case we end up in a post-WWI Germany situation, or things become too difficult/too expensive to source from abroad) I have splurged on pretty much everything I am going to need for this hobby for many years, including tools, paints, weathering products, brushes, airbrushes, compressor, etc. etc. etc. And of course, the models!
I have kits of most standard types, aircraft/watercraft/tanks/cars/trucks and a bunch of space/sci-fi ones, with many having photoetch for enhancement. These will all be tackled on a semi-random basis, depending on mood and bravery!
I will still be adding to my stash, but barring a few I'm almost at the limit of kits that I'm interested in building.
