I am not huge a fan of WWII aircraft, but the Saab B 5, with its enlarged engine cowling and protruding bubble canopy is such a peculiar looking aircraft that I couldn't resist it - it almost looks like several different aircraft spliced together.
The B 5 is in fact a license-built version of the Douglas DB-8 / Northrop A-17, customized by ASJA / SAAB for the Swedish requirements: a different, license-built Mercury engine, which required a bigger cowling and to allow the pilot to be able to see over the cowling, also a larger canopy. Further modifications were non-retractable landing gears to be able to have the wheels replaced with skis during winter and a swinging bomb cradle for dive bombing.
The correct designation is B 5 - that is with a space, not a hyphen. B stands for "bomber".
I intend to build this as a standard B 5 from F6 in Karlsborg in green livery with wheels.

Well, I wasn't planning to, but I had to buy some paints and stuff and this kit just shouted my name. I will probably build it in before the first Monday in Y3K.

Interesting project. I'll be here for when you start it.
I wonder if it will have the exact same content as the old MPM box

Cuajete, by looking at online photos of the MPM kit, the SH looks exactly identical. The placement of the items on the decal sheet are slightly shifted around, but has the same content. If there are any other changes, I certainly cannot see it. It looks like a fun build.
