Personal Interest:
This model represents a UGM-96 Trident C4 test missile of the US Navy. Cape Canaveral Air Station had a submarine port available for SLBM testing, and the Navy infrequently tested the Trident C4 nearby in the Atlantic Ocean throughout my tour. A highlight of these launches was performing weather observations from a barge ship closer to the launch area. The Trident served in the US Navy through 2005.
