Personal interest:
This model represents a MiG-29A of the Iraqi Air Force. Iraq had 13 MiG-29A fighters and 3 MiG-29UB trainers. Iraqi Fulcrums were never seen performing operational or training missions during my 1996 tour of duty for Operation Southern Watch. It was later learned Iraq was forced to ground the MiG-29 fleet in 1995 because they could no longer perform the recommended preventive maintenance for that type.
