Personal interest:
The HY-2 belonged to a series of early anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCM) developed by the People's Republic of China and based on the the Soviet P-15 Termit. Iraq, out of desperation, attempted using these missiles in the ground attack role during Operation Desert Storm. During Operation Southern Watch, coalition forces spent considerable resources locating and tracking Iraqi missiles.
