This model was started ca. 22 years ago when I was a teenager before I quitted the hobby. The fuselage, wings and canopy were assembled and airbrushed from underside and upper side. I had some overspray around the stabilizers and this was maybe one of the reasons I did not finish it and lost interest.
A couple of weeks ago I came back to modelling and digged out all of my old stuff at my dad's place. After watching dozens of YT videos and spending some € on new equipment I started to finish this model as my first project.
I tried some new techniques like highlighting of panel lines, decal softener, varnishes, sprue drawn antenna...
As a start, I am quite satisfied with the result but there is of course lots of room for improvement.
There was quite some last minute stress when I removed the 22 year old crepe masking tape from the canopy. It was very hard under several layers of paint and left a lot of hardened glue once removed. Luckily, with isopropanol I was able to get rid of it mostly.
Let me know what you think!
